It's a Girl!

I am grateful and honored to announce the arrival of our new baby girl. I am grateful that I don't have to walk around with my "huge" belly any more. I feel like I have been pregnant all year! Many thanks to all my followers through out the year. Thanks to all those who sent gifts and prayers our way.

HOW IT HAPPENED

I had gone in for my weekly doctor's appointment as usual when my doctor quickly requested that I leave the clinic to go check in to the hospital next door.  I got checked in and settled at about 2pm and was fully dilated and ready to push at about 5:40. She was born at 6:02pm weighing in at 8lbs 4oz.

AND SHE SHALL BE CALLED

Names are traditionally significant especially to a Nigerian family.  For my husband and I we desired names that would actively speak to the life and destiny of our new child. And so, she shall be called Zara Aderinsola.

I'll be honest, I have always loved the name Zara and said to myself that I would call my daughter that name if I ever had a girl. Among other origins, the name in Hebrew means Princess, in French it means Light. Complete combination meanings include Radiance, Shining, Flower, Blossoming Flower, Splendor, Dawn, Lady, Yahweh has Remembered.  Aderinsola (nigerian origin) literally means 'this crown walks into wealth'. This summed it for us and we are grateful to the LORD for this beautiful blessing.  Thank you for reading!
